For April Fool’s Day, I chose the poem “Five Aces.” This poem is about setting yourself up for success and alludes to loading your hand of playing cards during a game. Yes, this is cheating. No, I do not condone cheating at cards. However, in the game of life, sometimes we need to stay one step ahead, no matter what it takes, and if that means loading your hand (whatever that may mean in your situation), then perhaps it is worth carrying that extra ace in your pocket.
In tarot, The Fool represents new experiences and walking bravely into the unknown. The Fool is a confident nonconformist with a unique outlook on life. In reality, few want to play the fool, but we all must from time to time.
“Five Aces” tells us to be prepared to play the fool and anticipate a quick recovery back to our senses thanks to the winning hand we’ve dealt ourselves.

Happy reading,
Sibyl
