Today is the last day of National Poetry Month, and what an adventure it has been!  I am honored to have shared this journey with you.  The ending of the project is bittersweet; I have enjoyed this work thoroughly, but it is now time to rest and move onto the next project.

To sum up my emotions throughout this month would be impossible.  Words flood my mind, but none can properly describe how I feel.  Like an orchestra of emotion, I can close my eyes and conduct them toward some semblance of an idea, but there is too much to make sense of any of it by listening to the piece as a whole.

To understand my emotions, I must separate out bit from bit, listening to each line one at a time, piecing it all together until I can fully understand the composition.

Where do I start?

Thank you for reading my Behind the Poem entries throughout the month of April.  There is still one more to go, so if you would like a sneak peak at the bonus poem, check my Patreon.  (It’s free!)

Happy reading,
